Loves wild places, wild weather, wild ideas; has plenty of solo adventure experience and can often be found adventuring in the mountains with her husky. Been riding since age 8 and escapes as often as possible to faraway lands to experience other horse cultures. Relying on “fortitude, wild Atlantic weather experience, and following the stars” to get her over the finish line.

Cool Earth
Cool Earth was created in 2007 to provide grant funding to rainforest communities and NGOs that work alongside them. The essential role that rainforest protection plays in addressing the climate crisis becomes clearer each year, so too does the realisation that the conservation sector has contributed to the abuse and disenfranchisement of the people who live there. The most effective way to fight the climate crisis is to protect the best carbon-storing technology that already exists, the rainforest, and the best way to do that is to support and listen to the indigenous peoples and local communities that have lived in balance with the forest for thousands of years, as they are the real experts. Cool Earth champions the relationship between people, rainforest and climate. It directly funds rainforest communities in projects that create choice, tackle the root causes of deforestation and protect vital carbon sinks.
