Born and raised in Kenya to founders of Offbeat Safaris, a renowned riding safari in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara. Has been covering country on horseback since before she could walk. Navigating mountains might not be her strong point, but she is very much looking forward to taking on this adventure in Patagonia.
The Tristan Voorspuy Conservation Trust
The Tristan Voorspuy Conservation Trust (TVCT) is a fund donating charity set up in memory of Tristan to continue his philanthropic legacy in protecting Kenya’s wildlife. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty, and in doing so reduce the mounting pressure on Kenya’s last remaining untouched wildlife and its habitat so that future generations can enjoy the flora and fauna of Kenya. We truly believe the key to combatting the ever-increasing pressure on the land is through education and providing basic healthcare and services. In turn this will help to improve the quality of life of those living in more remote areas, helping them to escape poverty and both encouraging and enabling them to live a more sustainable lifestyle. In our eyes this approach is the most constructive and effective long-term method to safeguard Kenya’s beautiful and untouched landscapes, shared by people and wildlife alike. By concentrating our resources and collaborating with partners who already have all the right facilities and infrastructure in place we aim to maximise our impact, particularly on mothers, children, the family, the community and crucially the environment. Alongside this the TVCT also contributes to the kitting out and life insurances of the much needed Rangers on the ground who protect the day to day wildlife.
