Bastian «Basti» Fernandez
Bastian Fernandez who in 2017 suffered a terrible accident in polo. Bastian was grooming in a Swiss club. He had his accident during a tournament. He’s originally from Salvador Maria, the closest village to my estancia. Since his accident he’s living permanently in Switzerland, far away from long time friends and most of his family. He had to reorganize his life completely. He can no longer live from his passion, the horses. As much as he can, he’s coming to spend time with us in the club. He had a lot of support after his accident but the most important is the long distance, to keep going, to never loose hope. Basti is the perfect person I could raise money for. His strength facing his handicap, his dedication overcoming it will help me facing all challenges in Patagonia. His love for horses will accompany me nights and days, his friendship and trust will keep my heart warm in the coldest places. I am grateful he accepted. He will be my shadow, I will be his legs.
